I have been following Hany's articles post January 25th revolution chronicling the events post Mubarak ousting. It's a different view then what we are used to read or watch on mainstream media. A kind of view that someone deep rooted inside the events with astute observations would only be able to provide. In his articles he predicted the rise of Islamists and that the democracy path of Egypt will be obstructed by a path of theocracy. It's a different view then what we are used to read or watch on mainstream media. A kind of view that someone deep rooted inside the events with astute observations would only be able to provide. In his articles he predicted the rise of Islamists and that the democracy path of Egypt will be obstructed by a path of theocracy. His liberal beliefs never restrained him from being objective as he criticizes secular and liberal powers of Egypt in his analysis. This book carefully examines the path Egyptians are taking towards democracy along with all the obstacles they are facing, and analyzes all the power players within the Egyptian political scene. An excellent read."
