Untouched: Egypt's Revolution in Graffiti
After the Egyptian revolution – many documentaries, songs, movies and press releases were produced. As if that wasn’t enough, the Egyptians went further to use a much more visual tool, which combined talent and art, to express their mixed emotions in an eye catching way. They did this through drawings and paintings, through graffiti on walls.
When words fail to speak, when your message is unclear, photos and pictures are probably the way to go. It takes time to draw and create – but only few minutes to stop, see and understand, if one looks beyond the sight.
Allow me now to take you beyond the photos and closer to the idea.
It is hoped that this graffiti photo book, with its added commentaries, will enrich not only your eyes with the beauty of the colours and drawings, but also your mind with the depth of the messages and meanings behind them.
